    Injectable tincture:
    Active ingredient for sheep and calves.
    Provides an active vaccine to prevent veremia (viral infection in the blood) as a result of the viruses
    Bluetongue virus serotype 1, Bluetongue virus serotype 4

     

    Net content:
    Carton with one bottle containing 100 servings for sheep or 50 servings for cattle (200 ml)

     

    Active Ingredient:
    INACTIVATED BLUETONGUE VIRUS (BTV), serotype 4, BTV-4/SPA-1/2004 strain >6.78 LOG 2 U VN*
    * titer of virus neutralizing antibodies in sheep
    Inactivated bluetongue virus (BTV), BTV, serotype 1 (BTV-1), ALG2006/01 E1 strain
    RP*≥ 1

    * Relative potency measured by ELISA in relation to a reference vaccine whose efficacy has been demonstrated by challenge in the target species.

    sheep:

    The start of the vaccination - 39 days after the vaccination in a single dose, or 21 days after the administration of two doses.
    The duration of the vaccination period: one year from the completion of the initial vaccination.

     

    Beef:
    An active component of cattle, provides an active vaccine to prevent veremia (viral infection in the blood) and reduce clinical signs, as a result of the bluetongue virus serotype 4 virus. bluetongue virus serotype1
    The start of the vaccination - 21 days after the vaccination by giving a single dose.
    The duration of the vaccination period: one year from the completion of the initial vaccination.

     

    Dosage and way of administering the vaccine:
    Shake well before use.

    sheep:
    Primary vaccination of the flock from the age of 3 months - subcutaneous injection of one 2 ml dose to naive sheep.
    Repeat vaccination: one dose 2 ml 12 months after vaccination.

     

    Beef:
    Vaccination of the cattle from the age of 2 months for naive calves, or after 3 months for calves born to vaccinated cows.

    Primary vaccination:
    Intramuscular injection of two doses of 4 ml with an interval of 3 weeks between treatments.

    Revaccination:
    One dose 4 ml 12 months after vaccination

     

    Contraindications:
    nothing

     

    Discrepancy:
    Do not mix with any other ingredient.

     

    Side effects (frequency and severity):
    After the injection, side effects at the injection site are often observed.
    Within 1-6 days, slight redness or slight to moderate swelling will develop in the injection area.
    After 6 days the swelling can reach up to 3.8 cm in sheep or 7 cm in cattle. The swelling will disappear back within 70 days of the injection in the flock, or 30 days after the injection in the cattle.
    Often an increase in the animal's temperature up to C° 2, within 48 hours of the injection.
    In rare cases in sheep or very rarely in cattle, the following side effects may occur: the reproductive system (abortions, fetal death, premature birth), or apathy, lying flat, fever, anorexia, exhaustion and sleepiness.
    In very rare conditions in sheep and cattle, the following side effects may occur: reduction of milk production, neurological syndromes (paralysis, lack of muscle control, blindness, and lack of coordination), respiratory system syndromes (pulmonary congestion, difficulty breathing, irregular breathing), digestive system syndromes (swelling, Absence of gastric tone), hypersensitivity reaction (with excessive salivation), allergic, death.

     

    Use during pregnancy:
    The medical product can be used during the end of pregnancy in sheep, and during the entire pregnancy in cattle.
    Can be used during emulsification
    Efficacy/safety balance has not been proven in males. The use of males during fertilization is at the doctor's discretion
    the vet.

     

    Reaction with other medicinal preparations and other forms of interaction:
    No information is available on the safety and efficacy of the simultaneous use of this vaccine with any other vaccine.

    Overdose (symptoms, emergency procedures, antidotes), if required:
    After giving a double dose, no side effects unusual to those described in the side effects section were observed.

     

    Precautions during treatment:


    an animal:
    Use only healthy animals. Maintain aseptic conditions during product use.

     

    user:
    If you have been accidentally injected with this product, seek immediate medical advice and take the product leaflet with you.
    Contact of the product should be avoided in people with sensitivity to the product or to the ingredient - aluminum hydroxide, thiomersol, saponins.

     

    First aid:
    In case of ingestion, do not induce vomiting.

    Disposal:
    It is advisable to dispose of the product by consuming it, and if not, dispose of the product, packaging and waste at a licensed landfill site or similar facility.


    Warnings and special storage conditions:
    • For the treatment of animals only.
    • Must be stored in a refrigerator at a temperature of 2-8°C
    • Do not freeze.
    • Protect from light.
    • Once the vial is opened, its contents must be used within 10 hours or disposed of.
    • Keep out of the reach of children.
    • Acceptable aseptic procedures should be implemented during vaccination.
    • Use only sterile syringes and needles.
    • Allow the vaccine to reach room temperature before use.
    • Shake well before use.
